Compaq presario 1090es died |

I ordered a Compaq presario (used) and when i got it it started ok, but
then I shut it down and when i started to boot back up it made a
sputtering sound (stopped when i unplugged ac power supply).
When I plugged the PS back in it was totally dead (the computer) , when
I checked voltage on power supply it was ok, any ideas. I bought it
used and hate to send back, more than it is worth i think.

Not really much information but if your saying no BIOS no nothing then its
probably the mainboard.
