I have an issue that comes up any time from about one to seven times a week. It doesn't seem to matter what applications I am running. Suddenly the computer will not respond to any keypresses or mouse actions and hard drive activity will stop. Either the Hard drive LED will be out without flickering at all or the LED will remain lit without flickering. I also hear no hard drive activity. I am then forced to reboot with the reset button on the case. The computer will then hang up during P.O.S.T. because it can not detect the Seagate 500 GB. Barracuda SATA drive. Everytime when I power down the system for about 15 seconds and then power up again, everything is back to proper operation. I tried a different SATA port and a SATA cable on two separate occasions and this symptom is still present. I downgraded to previous nForce drivers based on advice from EVGA's technical support and still the same problem. I experience no other abnormalities with the system. I performed the long test of Seagate's SeaTools Drive Diagnostic program twice and everything passed. I have been monitoring the temperature of the drive while operating and it is well below the maximum operating temperature, (never seems to get above 35 degrees Celsius). Can anyone tell me if the power supply is likely the problem even though I experience no other hardware problems? According to EVGA's SLI Zone website my power supply is SLI certified and it's power output is more than sufficient for my hardware configuration.

To me, it sounds like a ram problem.

This is the agony for me in most places, as people do not seem to respond once their problems have been solved or whatever else they might have made out of these. I have come across similar situations before and as Admin said its all because of the RAM if you are still around here do check if RAM has become loose and is properly connected. That should take care of the problem.
