Since I had to dig thru the Google archives to find this link again,it
answered all but one my latest gross of questions.

The one unanswered question: What are the important differences for
round OR flat twisted pair OR flat non-twisted pair cables with LVD
systems?

You can use longer cables if they are twisted pair.
But then, who uses several meters of cables inside a case.
Flat cable is fine for internal LVD use as long as it isn't cheap PVC cable.
