Hiya
I am looking to possibly use iSCSI to connect a remote server to our
backup library. One of the main concerns is the effect of latency on the
connection.

Assuming all is well the round trip time to the manchester site is only
1.mumble ms, but in the event of a link failure this traffic may end up
being redirected via London which would obvioulsy increase the latency.
(estimate to be just under 20ms)

Would this have any serious effect on iSCSI connections? the device would
be a tape drive so predominantly write, occasionally read, and speed of
throughput isn't too much of an issue.

Thanks for your feedback.
