are there any amd mobos that support pci-e? |

Hi, the site I regularly buy my hardware from seems to only have pci-e
compatible mobos for intels. are there any good boards available in uk that
are amd?
Also what are the different sockets for pent 4 and amd 64 about?

Quick answer, no. Was expecting them to be available for Christmas but
apparently somebody dropped the ball.
The chipsets shipped about a month ago, so the boards should be out in some
parts of the world pretty soon.

They are slowly becoming available. I got mine a week ago (ASUS A8N SLI
Deluxe). Currently they are still scarce, but that will change in the
weeks to come.

P4 I don't know, didn't keep track of. As for AMD, stick with a 939
socket. The 940 is for server (registered memory) purposes, and the
other socket (754) is being phased out. |
