No Win98SE driver for Geforce 6600GT (continued)? |

Sorry for twice posting. But I think there was a technical error in
Google Groups that I wasn't able to post my message to the already
created topic.
Today I received the following answer from Leadtek:
"Yes,currently our released A6600GT does not support the windows 98,Me
OS. Please try to do update your windows OS to windows 2k,xp."
And a few hours ago nVidia corrected the release notes for Forceware
66.94:
Before:
Release Highlights:
NoAdded (!) support for GeForce 6600, GeForce 6600 GT, and GeForce
6200
.....
After:
Added support for GeForce 6600, GeForce 6600 GT, and GeForce 6200
.....
I think there is no problem anymore. But Leadtek's answer is a
disappointment for me.

Yes, Leadtek's answer is a major disappointment. Mostly because I don't
believe them and I think they are mistaken about their own product. Listen
to Nvidia and load the 66.94. I think you will do just fine. On the other
hand, XP is a far superior OS. But that may be beside the point.

Keep in mind that, technically, you are not supposed to use nVidia's
reference drivers. The latest LeadTek-rebadged drivers may not support the
6600GT.
