My HP 5370C scanner stopped working. The resistance R105 in the right
hand corner (seen from the connector side of the printed circuit
board) of the printed circuit board has been burned black. For this
reason I cannot read the color code. Can you give me the value or
color code of this resistor?

I have the very same problem with R105.
Is it surprising that we have problem reading the value of the resistance.
If I find the value I will post it for you.
Would you do the same thing.
I have posted in the NEWS (Help for the 5370c)
Good luck and thanks for the help.
Maybe we will get help from someone who have a look a the famous resistance
R105 before i will burned.

I too have just had the same problem, it burned out and could not read the value, ARGGH! Evil or Very Mad

Please let me know if you find the value for the resistor as I would hate to throw it away just because the resistor is not working

I wonder if that is something built in by HP to do that at a certain point (to make you go out and buy another one? hmm) Twisted Evil

Thanks
