I have a regular modem with a standard RJ-45 plug. I also have a computer
with a Firewire plug, is there a way to connect them? I didn't find any
Firewire to RJ-45 interface.
Is it possible?

You don't have either.

Figure out what those "plugs" are called and try again.

A regular modem has RJ11 jacks. Ethernet devices have RJ45 jacks. ... and
no, they don't work together at all.

My modem has a RJ-45 because it's an ADSL modem.

This is why I'm asking if there is an interface out there.
For instances there are interfaces that convert USB to parallel, firewire
to IDE.

Sounds to me like you need an ethernet (10/100NIC) card. The old DSL modem I
had went straight to ethernet card.

Yes, but I wanted to use the Firewire port, just to try.
If I can't, I'll buy a simple cheap Ethernet card, and it'll work fine,
but still...
