Yea, hahaha.

Canada isn't the USA, and court orders issued there don't necessarily
translate here. Even if DVDXCopy violates Canadian laws in some way,
it's unlikely the mounties are going to raid stores that still have
copies on shelves.

They might if I rat on them. Remember? I'm the software Police. hahaha

Go ahead if you feel that strongly about it. Everybody needs a hobby.

Placing a message on a video does not create law. The law in the USA is that

it or distribute it illegally.

Can you show me the legal jargon that states this.

At any rate, it's a moot point. DVDXCopy is a dead product. It's
not actively supported anymore, and some people have reported problems
with the program's activation protection. Pretty ironic considering
what it is.

Exactly! So it's a useless POS program now and any customer who is
gullible enough to buy it will get scammed out of pocket of $99.00
CAD. But I guess you have no problem with that, eh?

I have more of a problem with you posting the same question 3 times in the

OK, thanks. Fair use is the key word. I can see you copying a DVD that
you already own as fair use but copying a DVD that you only rented or
borrowed from a friend is not. I wouldn't bother making a copy of a
DVD I already own but I guess some people might for backup purposes.

It's my ISP's fault. The first two didn't show up on my news server. I
changed the subject heading and it finally showed. The first two I
made still don't show here. Sorry, but I'm really not to blame.

Many people whose children play DVDs choose to make copies and let the kids
use the copies. When the copy gets damaged, another copy is made from the
original.

Good point; although, I think most people buy things like DVDXcopy to
pirate movies from the video store. I don't care what they do really,
just stating the truth.

Instead of saying the word "think" you should have used "assume"

No, "think" was the correct word. "Assume" just makes an ass out of

you and me.

I purchased a retail copy of DVDXCOPY when they were about to pull the Ripper feature. I put it on my bookcase till today. It installed fine but the activation is a pain. The zip file DVDXCopy_Platinum_v4[1].0.3.8 produced an activation code for my machine with XP SP2.
