Logitec QuickCam-Fails to connect! |
|
|
Hi Guys
Wondered if anyone had this problem.
I run Win XP on a celeron 300 and has two USB ports in side of mini tower (USB
1.0 - I believe)
Bought this cam (Logitec QuickCam) installed the software and problems begain.
Error 1904 Module C:\Progam Files\Image studio\albumact.dll
Failed to register Result - 2147221164
Contact Your Support Personal
Abd same message for the following DLL's:
Anim.dll
edit
filemenu
lvmcomp
oicvid
radar
vmail
webcam
webcast
fwgal.dll
Managed to open cam manager and reboot and plugged cam into USB port but
software said its not connected...try both ports...no connection.
Have checked control panel in XP - It said usb are working and installed.
Currently downloading new driver fom logitec site.
Noted it installs win xp service pack 1 as part of install...could this be a
problem?
Also noted the other day my digital joystick is not connected according to
gameport controller.
So a can of worms...software or hardware!
Any help be thankful for
Cheers
Shel

try going into control panel system and device manager....
remove all references to usb and reboot...
then let the system repair the usb drivers itself...
have yr xp cd handy just in case...
