Hi,

I'm upgrading to a P4 2.4GHz system. I want to know whether a single 350W
power supply can *safely* supply this configuration:

1. P4 2.4GHz CPU + CPU Fan
2. Dual channel mobo + northbridge fan
3. 2x128MB PC2700 DDR RAM
3. Graphic adapter (not decided on the model, but surely not the power
hungry new adapters which asks for additional supply)
4. 1xDVD-ROM + 1xCD-RW
5. 2xHDD (40GB + 4GB)
6. At least 1 additional system fan (the mobo supports 2)

Furthermore, I currently using a 500VA UPS for both my P100 classic and the
monitor. Can I use it for the new P4 system + the monitor?

TIA

Yes, if the PS is of good quality, it won't be a problem.

I suppose so, a UPS is not really meant for powering the computer, just to
give You a chance to safely power it down 'till there is real electricity
again.

Good luck!

Why only 256MB? If you're going to be installing XP on that system - and
expect to do anything intensive, I'd double that at the very least. I found
that 1GB wasn't enough and have doubled it - and I'm glad I did. Funny isn't
it? I remember the days when a 1GB hard drive was a luxury...
