Olympus D-550 Focusing problem

I have a 2 year old Olympus D-550 digital camera that has suddenly
stopped focusing sharply. The camera goes through the motions of
focusing, tells me OK, but the resulting pics are always a bit out of
focus. Previously needle sharp images.

Is this a fixable problem, or do I now have a $400 boat anchor?
