Hi

It seems to me flatbed scanners manufaturers launch new models every
few months, so i'm quite interested about scanners to be launched by
canon and epson next year. Any clues about high-end flabeds to come?
regards.

Parody:

I predict that the next generation of flatbed scanners will scan perfect
8x10 prints from 110 (13mm x 17mm) negatives. And every flatbed can scan 4
x5 transparencies without any adapters.

You will get perfect OCR or scan to PDF every time.
Flatbed scanners will auto clean anything put on the glass bed. Put your
dirty laundry on the glass and you will get perfect clean sheets.

And you get all of the above for $100 or less.

Sure. In 2005, Epson will take the whole dpi hype to an entirely new
dimension.

You'll just have to wait another 6 months for the new and improved
stuff. And once you've waited that long, you might just as well wait
another six months to see everything has become even better, faster,
and cheaper. Having said this, just about six months later there will
be....

Why so cheap? In the world you're describing,
everyone will hit the lotto!

That was the idea.

Why not >$100 for all of those impossible features? If one should dream, why
not dream big and cheap.
