I need to replace my Visioneer 7650 with something faster/better. I'm
most concerned with the ability of the automatic document feeder to
(ahem) not puke when faced with a stack of paper.

I'm scanning archived files for a law firm, to PDF format.

Any opinions/experience on which manufacturers have really robust
automatic document feeders, ones that will accept a giant stack of
paper and not jam?

we have been using half a dozen fujitsu 4220 for about 18 months -
about 50,000 pages thru each.
