CanoScan 8400F vs 8000F?

I went shopping the other day, intending to buy a Canon CanoScan 8400F. A
local camera store, had a brand new, sealed CanoScan 8000F (earlier, now
discontinued model), for only $120.00, so I bought it. It doesn't appear
there is a lot of difference between the two, or am I missing something?
The 8000F works very well!
