I'm looking for a good scanner for business use that will be used
primarily to scan print material. (I do not believe this price range
permits us to get transparancy scanning at sufficient quality.)
· Preferably Legal/8.5x14 or Ledger/11x17 scan area.
· Good software interface for making scans is important- Silverfast
or something designed with intelligence. My cheapo UMAX at home has a
software interface that looks like a toy.
· We have Photoshop and OCR software already. We do not need a
"business bundle" that gives us a lot of unnecessary software.
· Resolution sufficient enough for us to consider oversize prints
from photos. Mostly, this will be for print/web at normal sizes, but I
want the freedom that comes with a good resolution spec.
· Reasonable speed in completing scans. No dual-pass or slow-pokes
here, thank you.
