Windows CPU Temperature Monitor ??? |
|
|
It is unwieldy to have to go into the BIOS in order to see my CPU and
MOBO temperatures. Hasn't anyone come up with a little utility yet
that runs in W98 and even WXP to display those temperatures on a
running basis?
I sure cannot find any.
Anyone? |

MBM is apparently ceasing development, but the latest version was released
in Sept of this year.

Do a google for "software temperature monitors", it came up with a few.

If you just want to be able to "spot check" your temps, try Everest Home
Edition...it will show you CPU, Motherboard, and HD temp, plus fan speeds
and voltages in a Windows program. It's not running in the system tray, so
it's not using resources constantly. |

OK
I tried 'CPU temperature monitor' but didn't find much.
I'll try your suggestions.
Thanks |

Search for a program called "SpeedFan". It does temperatures as well as
fan speeds. I use it to show CPU temp in the system tray.

The most common is motherboard monitor, often referred to as
"MBM5".

Try to check your motherboard CD.
Usually its includes some sort probe software to monitor the fan speed
and CPU/MOBO temperature.
