I just got one this week. It's better than my old Microtek E6 (with
the transparancy lid) that claimed 600 ppi, but not as good as my
Nikon LS-IV, and in fact, not even as good as my old Photosmart on
film. But it's quality on 2 1/4 negatives is "good enough" for making
8 x 10 prints... so it serves my purpose. I would certainly not
recommend it for 35 mm film.
