Hi,

Two questions about Toshiba Portege 3110CT RAM upgrade.

1. Do I have to buy proprietary chip from Kingston (KTT3110-64) or
any SDRAM 66 MHz (or more) SODIMM 3.3 V memory module will be fine?

2. Specification says that maximum memory for this laptop is 128 MB
(internal 64 MB + additional 64 MB). Does it mean that the system
won't use more than that if I install larger module, eg. to get
192 MB?

Thank you for asking this question as I too am mystified. I am also having
problems obtaining the 128Mb memomory - can anyone help?? Has this been
discontinued??

Is there any other manufacturere than Kingston that makes an equivalent
memory that we could use??
