I do believe there is something wrong with my new laptop PC.I just
cannot manage to get two systems all at once on it.What I mean is that
windows woeks fine and linux does too,as long as there is only one
system present on the HDD.Every time I try to install a second one (on a
different partition) just after booting manager (lilo or grub) finishes
its job everything crashes.Same thing every time. After reboot I can see
a few first letters of the boot manager (for example LI..or GRU..) and
that is it.Windows won't start as well. However if I do the same thing
with the HDD removed from the laptop and connect it to my desktop using
miniIDE to IDE connector everything works just fine. But the point is
that I believe it has something to do with the computer itself...just
don't know which part of it screws things up...Thanks in advance for any
sugestions.(Gericom Blockbuster 7000 and HDD is Fujitsu-Siemens
MHT2080AH)

It is actually German-Austrian company very popular in these countries

well built and loaded. However the support is quite poor so I've got to
figure out how to fix the problem without the service.

What about trying a live Linux distribution like Knoppix? You won't have to
install that as it will boot and operate from CD. Then you can leave your
Gericom Blockbuster with just Windows installed, as intended.
