How is the 2D desktop quality and video playback quality from a Radeon 8500
or a newer 9600 video card with DVI to Component adapter onto a 36" Sony XBR
HDTV.

I want to build a multimedia PC. I already have an XP2400+, an Epox nForce2
motherboard with 512MB of DDR and a 250GB Hard Drive for it. I have a choice
of a few used Radeon cards, I may also have a 9700Pro to choose from. I don't
expect to game from it just use it for music and maybe some video.
