I have tried witihout success to find the maximum resolution for a
Sapphire 9700 non-pro. I am thinking of buying the Dell 2405FPW LCD
which has a native resolution of 1900x1200. Will this card support
this resolution?

Thanks,

Wad

Yes it does but if you're running the latest and greatest at that rez,

get ready for a slide show because she'll stutter like a bitch.

Am I Batman or Superman? I'm so confused.

In 2D it'll be fine. Don't even think of trying to do 3D at this res.
Although it should still look OK at 1024x768 and get reasonable rates.
Interpolated res on newer LCD's are quite good.

Thanks guys,

Yes I just want to be able to play movies, music, photos, watch tv,
etc., using Window Media Center 2005. If I want to play games in 3D I
know I will have to tone it down a lot.

I never figured I would be gaming at this rez since I doubt few, if
any games, can even be run at this rez, nevermind the fact that if
they did even a high end card wouldn't get decenf fps.

Running above 1600x1200 requires reduced blanking. Be sure to check the
"reduce DVI frequency" box in the Catalyst driver options tab.

Most games don't support widescreen resolutions that well, unfortunately.
