cloned, but no TV output |
|
|
I have a good video card, NVidia GEForced MX440 with AGP8X, running WinXP.
I successfuly followed the procedures for cloning the output of the TV to
get Windows XP on the screen and the SVGA monitor at the same time.
Unfortunately, although I can get both screens to come up at the boot
sequence, Windows will kind of kick the TV-clone off to the side so that I
can't see any videos with Media Player.
I can get DVDs to play on my computer screen and TV at the same time, but I
am trying to get some internet video feeds that won't necessarily be DVDs.
Such as mpg or wmv files.
I want to watch various video files on the TV and control it from the SVGA
monitor as it has a better resolution anyway. I need to keep the TV for
regular use for watching local channels.
What software settings do I need to change to get the TV output to work? |

Okay,
I just figured it out myself. I actually didn't clone it per the NVidia
properties. In nView display mode, you ave the option of Standard(Dualview)
and of course Clone. I had Standard view, which screwed up the TV. I
clicked to Clone and it's working fine. Hooray for NVIDIA!
