So I dig around on the net, and find something surprising, that Nvidia
Gforce Go 6800 is actually made by IBM. Under the name NV41M.

''The GeForce Go 6800 is a specially-designed code-named NV41M flavour of
the desktop GeForce 6800 graphics processor made using 0.13 micron process
technology at IBM's East Fishkill facility''

Needles to say I cant find the register/memory/programming spec at IBM.
Emailing Nvidia a few times... I don't even get a reply. Gr8 customer
support.

Now, I'm an assembly language programmer, and really need this specification
folks.

Fed up/defeated programmer.

My last card 3dfx Voodoo 3; 3d/2d register/memory specification was on the
web, same people, and that was a dream to implement in assembler.
Interesting to note that at the heart of Voodoo 3 is and IBM PS/2 M70.

Please; if you're at IBM or Nvidia, release these specifications to the
public, and try to be more like Intel, who are absolutely excellent and
document everything.

Mark.

Saying a chip is MADE at a fab is not the same as saying it is in any way
designed or controlled by the owner of the fab.

For example, though there are many brands of memory available, only a
handful of companies own memory chip fabs. Likewise for chipsets and GPUs.

nVidia is your source.
