Upgrading Video Card Bios |
|
|
I have Windows 98SE with a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 and have been advised
by "Sandra Standard" analyzer to upgrade the video card.
How do I do this?
Thanks,
Marcus |

Sounds more like Sandra Std is advising a hardware upgrade. If you're
happy with the card's performance then just ignore it, else buy a new
computer if it is as crusty as the video card.

Upgrade BIOS ?? ... that's not what the message means...afaik. |
You have a VERY old system.
Buy a newer video card. However, your system may be so old that the
AGP port may have 3.3v drive levels. while all new AGP graphics cards
are 1.5v and will be damaged ( or will damage the motherboard, or
both ). Probably time to consider putting your system in a garage
sale. And if your video card is PCI, definitely time to do so.

You don't. THere is absolutely no need to do this whatsoever. |
