Help Please - Epson Stylus PRO 7500 - Service Req. 00010002 |

Hello everyone in printer-land, I have the above printer that has been
stored incorrectly, for 6 months.
First off it, was stored on its side(ink end down) and secondly with
the ink still in the machine. Yes, the person who did this is not swift
electronically to say the least.
Now upon trying to set it up again, I am receiving the above error
messgae:
Service Req. 00010002
I can not find any links on the web as to what this may mean, and the
manual only stated it is a serious error, and I ned to call tech
support.
Before I do that, I present this to you if anyone can tell me what the
error means, I hopefully cxan take care of the repair myself.

This is a paper feed motor error (overcurrent).
Firstly, I suggest you check to see if there is ink that has come from the
waste ink station and stuck to paper rollers or other parts of the printer, if
so that needs to be cleaned off.
If there is no sign of ink on the mechanisms then remove the paper feed motor
and see if you can turn the gear that the motor drives by hand, if you can then
the motor has failed, failing that the main board has failed. If ink has got
onto the main board that could be your problem, remove the board completely and
wash the ink off, dry the board in an airing cupboard or similar over several
days until bone dry and see if that fixes it.
Lots of work but nothing to lose.
