Just count the number of problems with them, I have nothing at all to
do with Canon, Epson, HP or any other printer company.
Yes, you can expect a printer's to clog once in a while but not
continously, not just Epson, Canon HP or any other.

MAYBE SO BUT I HAVE NEVER HAD A HEAD CLOG WITH MY HP OR MY CANON IP4000
EVER. OF COURSE I USE AND HAVE ALWAYS USED OEM INK IN BOTH PRINTERS
| Quote: | I can honestly say that my printer clogged on the 2nd day, the
replacment clogged on the 4th day and all with OEM ink - is that
normal, no I don't think so and I doubt very much that you do to.
I can also honestly say that my Canon ip5000 has never clogged nor
wanted a manual nozzle clean yet, with the Epsons I had to check each
print even text documents for flaws with the Canon I can print and
forget knowing there will be no flaws.
If the Epson was like that or even clogged once in a while I would
accept that, as you probably know once they clog they stay clogged
don't just read my comments.
BTW the Canon is over 4 months old now put that alongside an Epson I
know which one I will go for and without any hesitation.

My experience is with Canon and Epson, since never having HP I can no
comment about them being any better or anyworse
My feeling's are they certainly can't be any worse than Epson, we ar
talking reliability here and nothing else
At least with an HP if you get a majour blockage the printer ain'
scrapped as the print head is part of the ink cartrudge - somethin
that Epson haven't the brains to do - long life print head
indeed....
Whats the point of having long life heads if they are always gettin
clogged, mighty clever Epson not to make them replaceable &
clever of them not te tell people that their newer models will no
work with non Epson inks
Measekite, please understand my printer clogged with OEM ink on th
2nd day of purchase, the replacement printer somewhile layter clogge
on the 4th day of receiving with OEM ink
The Canon I have has not clogged in 5 months nor ewver wanted a nozzl
clean, so I'd say the Canon in my case is the outright winner - i
that logical..

LETS FACE IT WHILE CANON TECHNICALLY HAS REPLACEABLE PRINT HEADS IT IS |
NOT ECONOMICALLY FEASEABLE TO DO THAT. BUT YOU DO SAVE ENOUGH MONEY ON
CANON CARTS OVER A FEW REFILLS TO PAY FOR THE LACK OF HAVING A PRINTHEAD
BUILT INTO THE CART.
THE TWO OF US HAVE NEVER HAD A PRINTHEAD CLOG WITH OUR CANON PRINTERS.
THE COMMONALITY IS THAT WE PRINT AT LEAST ONCE EVERY COUPLE OF WEEKS AND
US OEM INK EXCLUSIVBELY.

WHOOOOOOA..... mi C62 clogged on the 2nd Day the replacement clogge
on the 4th day with Epsons EVER CLOGGING INK - is that a worl
record..
If the Canon give up after 13 months I would have NO gripes, woul
certainly go out and buy another without hesitation - it certainl
WON'T be an Epson thats for sure
Why on earth should I suffer clogs after clogs toss the printer go ou
and buy another Epson as some people would expect..... there is jus
no point at all....
To get away from clogging and having not to check each print is shee
bliss this is whyI say the Canons are far more economical
Now you see why I say get a Canon

Good to hear your printer is still working for you...my experience with the
clogging of Epson printers is that most of them last well beyond the one
year warranty period...most do not clog in the first year and the ones that
we were 'compensating' customers for were well beyond their warranty...some
two or three years old...
Your C62 was a current product when I was doing support and I don't recall
every having to deal with a clogged print head on that model...but, then
again, I was doing escalation mostly but did field some 'first level'
calls...maybe NA products are just better than what they sell in the
UK...but I doubt it... |
