Does Nero 7 support the NEC 3500A? |
|
|
I have a NEC 3500A, I'm using it as a scsi drive
with an adaptor that switches it from IDE to SCSi.
It works fine with Nero 6 But Nero 7 doesn't see
it.
Thanks |

The usual causes for the disappearing cd drives is messed up Upper/Lower
Filters in the registry. Try uninstall Nero, delete Upper/Lower
Filters, reboot and then reinstall Nero.
Remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the
following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

I think you answered you own question. Nero-7 is a bug-fest, suggest you
stay with 6 for another few months.

But why not use it as a IDE drive, I can't see the logic here..
Nero 7 has features that do not work with 6 I have found.. |

So have I, had a total of 8 devices at one time but now only 6.
Use a Promise IDE Controller for the Hard Drives, my MoBo has a built in
Raid/ATA controller that can support 4 Hard Drives
And I have no problems with Nero 7.. |
