Hi,
My son has a lexmark All-in-One X4250 and can't print from "My
Documents". He can print from the internet, text and photos. But, when
printing from "My Documents, the printer says that the text is in the
process of printing, but the paper runs through without printing anything.
Do you have any suggestions?
He's running Windows 98
I told him that someone in this news group would surely know how to fix
this problem.
Come on guys or gals, don't let me down and make me look bad in the eyes
of my son.
Don

Don Davis.
Is trying to print using the Printer Icon, on the toolbar? If yes, I have experience with a couple of printers I have, a Canon & Lexmark AOI X-73, that this doesn't work. I need to press:

FILE> PRINT on the toolbar in the window, instead.

NOBODY SHOULD BE USING WIN 98 TODAY

NOBODY SHOULD BE USING A LEXMARK
HE NEEDS A COMPUTER THAT CAN AT LEAST RUN WIN2K, HAVE 512MEG OF RAM AND
A CANON PRINTER.

If you copy the file from My Documents to say C:\ then print from
there does it work?

There may be temporary files hanging around, try pressing F8 on boot
up, go into Command mode then at C:\
deltree temp #deletes the folder temp
md temp # creates a new folder temp

switch off and restart as normal

Also try scandisk via Tools on the C: properties

You have checked that the printer is ok for this OS?

Surely it's your son who should be helping you <g>

Finally ignore measkite who hasn't learnt yet how to use the keyboard
so he/she shouts at everyone all the time hence rendering his/her
posts unintelligible.
