There should be a light version of Nero Burning Rom. |
|
|
I have a CD-RW. I backup files to CDs and sometimes create audio CDs. I
think most people are just like me. Recently, Nero 7 is released. The
setup file (demo) size is over 100MB and even though I chose "Custom
setup" and selected only Nero Burning Rom and Tools, it coonsumes
almost 100MB of disk space. In the Programs\Common Files\Ahead folder,
there are many uncessary video codes. At least Nero should provide an
option to choose whether these codecs will be instaled or not. How
about a light version? I mean, a package only Nero burning ROM and its
tools are included? |

A light version called Nero Express 6 came bundled with my DVD burner,
and I really like it. I don't know if they ever sold it as a retail
product. There are lots of alternatives. Here are three burners that
happen to be free of charge (or have free versions) that I saw listed
in <news:alt.comp.freeware>.
