Saw the post earlier. I also want to print a3 size. Have done a bit of
research and found out that megapixels don't mean as much as a quality
sensor.

I was about to buy that new 9 megapixel Fuji but what would you guys
recommend. I'm not a professional. I want to print strictly photos that are
only up to a3 size of my family.

Is it worth going with the extra megapixels of the 9mp Fuji or getting a
quality 5mp camera. Is 5 mp really enough to print a3 size?

regards

I recommend that you download some of the full resolution comparison images
from www.imaging-resource.com . Print just a subset of each image, but at
the final image size for A3. I suggest you use the second house image,
which has fine detail in brick and foliage.

I did this before settling on a Coolpix 8700, an 8 megapixel camera that is
reasonably priced and is capable of sharp A3 prints.
