For once you actually said something that made sense. The price of printers
is artificially low as a way of getting the product to the consumer and as a
result sell the consumables at grossly inflated prices. I have no problem
with that since it means I can get the latest model printer I want at a dirt
cheap price and then refill the cartridges with high quality bulk ink for a
tiny fraction of the cost of OEM consumables. Note: I did not say third
party ink tanks or cartridges since those are still more expensive than
buying quality bulk ink, i.e. Formulabs, HobbiColors (don't know who makes
it, but it is very good ink), Image Specialists, MIS, etc...

You'll never know if this is true unless you actually bought some...
and just like you were wrong about there being NO prefilled cartridges
that disclose who manufactured it you are also wrong about there being
no bulk ink vender that will disclose what they are selling.

"All U-INK™ Refill Kits for Canon, sold after 10/9/2004, include a 1
year VIP Discount Code. Your VIP number entitles you to 10% OFF future
purchases of everything we sell. Inks manufactured in the United States
for WeInk, LLC by Image Specialists, Inc. USA"
http://www.weink.com/ecom/catalog/for_canon_324823_products.htm

I do not understand this insanity of yours. First you say you can't
get prefilled cartridges from anyone who will disclose what they are
using only bulk ink. Now your saying you can only get prefilled
cartridges with the manufactured disclosed. Guess what... it's EASIER
to find places that'll disclose the manufactured.

Let's see what you said in the past about weink

measekite Jun 5, 6:15 pm 2005
"The do not disclose on their website that I can see what they refill
the
carts they are selling. If they do provide me with the link. They do
say they sell Sensinent inks in bulk. I have heard Sensinent is about
the only company that formulates decent ink but I have only hear that
from a few members of the AfterMarket Church; two of those members are
singled out by you below. "

So you lied once again... way to go measekite!

Zake,
I only have one problem with your price comparisons. You constantly quote
non-OEM ink in the $300/gallon range. It is far less expensive than that.
Gallon bottles can be less than $100. Eight ounce bottles are frequently in
the $10 to $16 range.

I have no idea what the actual cost to produce a single printer is.
But if a 15% increase keeps their head above water and I had my choice
between $1500/gal OEM ink, $750 to $300/gal aftermarket I wouldn't be
unhappy at all.

Good idea measekite.

Valid enough point... I base $300/gal on buying in 2oz at a time, which
is typicaly 2.50/oz give our take on that level. Your right I should
be more clear.

Since you've never tried refilling, how do you know that it's messy? (of
course you could say the same thing about sex or holding a job, both of
which you've never had) Fact: Refilling a BCI-6 tank is not at all messy.
The process takes about one minute from start to finish, maybe a little
longer if you are really slow.

You say that you don't know who makes the ink. I specifically mentioned
Formulabs and Image Specialists. Since those are the manufacturers, I do
believe that even you should be able to figure out that one. You also know
very well that www.alotofthings.com states on the first page of their web
site that all bulk ink they sell is manufactured by Sensient-Formulabs.

*U SHUT UP DUMBASS* is the name of the poster who got a clog????

Do you think this is a version of "Who's on First"?

Come on, seriously ... who got a clog? I've been reading this newsgroup
for a year, and I don't remember anybody (except you, who doesn't use
refill ink) saying they got a clog from any of the non-OEM vendors
talked about on this group. Go ahead, name a name. Prove you're not
making this all up.

This is a lie Lucky for me you spell worse than I do. Let's see what
you said about 88inkjets in march

measekite Mar 24, 6:01 pm 2005

"And you can get Formulabs ink from a source that provides information.

Information is service. People who say in writing what you get.

Goto
http://www.88inkjets.com/

Compare their website to alotofcrap. They do not discourage you from
placing phone orders. They disclose what they sell on their website
and
it is clear. They provide toll free numbers and numerous email
contacts for different purposes. Look at both sites and evaluate the
companies. You compare and then judge if you want to do business with
Mickey Mouse or a professional company.. "

So you say they "just" added this information recently? Then why is it
you knew about them 6 months ago... pretended you were unaware they
disclosed what ink they use... and now are trying to cover your ass by
saying they changed their site? Let's face facts. You lied... as you
always do.

And what's really sad, what's mega mega sad is 6 months ago your
complaint was these webbies were not professional companies.... yet
when presented with links to multi-national corporations, huge guys
that have been involved in ink paper and printing for longer than there
have been ink jet printers... you don't like them either. You sir are
nuts.
