1. The OP did not state your aim clearly enough.
Do you want to add more memory because your
printer is not fast enough, or does not release the
screen and keyboard for other tasks, or what?
2. We cannot know whether your printer buffer
problems come from the OS you use, or your
WP app, or lack of RAM or some other cause.
We do not know whether "problems" means
nothing prints, or prints in part, or prints with errors.

Find the manual to see what sort of memeory it needs. IME, older laser
printers use proprietary memory modules. I can't say for that particular
unit, but it seems it uses chips.

Yes you may have trouble but maybe a company near you that refurbishes printers
could help, not sure....I guess you could always see whether Epson still sell
them at a price? I haven't tried a web search but that might be fruitful also.

I tried a google first, its says a single ram can be fitted but i always
thought simms ahd ot be fitted in pairs, at least in pc's google didnt
really help.

i have seen printers where youc an add 16-32 upwards etc but not this low,
anyway its something to play around with.

I think that the pairing requirement is a function of the design of older PC
motherboards, I suspect there is no reason why the main board on this printer
would necessarily have that limitation. However having said that the manual is
not too clear and indeed it seems to contradict itself, talking about MB and M
bits for the same item, however I think you can be sure that the maximums
quoted are correct. BTW some HP printers use simms but I am almost certain they
are a proprietary design based on the horrible cost.
