Note to self: If you ever want to convince someone your inkjet ink is
better controlled, so you can therefore charge more for it, put a lot
number on the cartridge.
Not to Gary: I use many 3rd party inks sources, most, if not all have
lot numbers on them.

I just looked. There is a lot number imprinted on the OEM carts in my
IP5000 printer. They might not directly mean anything though, as I suspect
they are basically a number in a database, or there is some sort of hash to
determine the ink lot and manfacture data. |
