Good evening,
Just got a 9600 pro today and wondered if someone could
tell me which drivers are best to use for this card.
I googled for the answer and saw that Omega drivers are
recommanded.
Are the latest Omega for Win98 (2-6-37, I believe) a good
way to go are would you recommand some ATI Catalyst ones instead ?
This machine is used by me for some work but I got this card
for my child's gaming.
Thank you

For the 9 series cards the 4.12 catalysts are the most consistent and
stable. For some reason 9600s *sometimes* require fast-writes to be enabled
for stability which is why the omegadrivers include that setting during
installation of the drivers but its a feature easily enabled with the
standard drivers anyway. you simply enable it in the motherboard bios and
then it shows up in the control panel. I would go with the standard 4.12s
from ATI - unfortunately you now have to register with ATI to download older
drivers.

Do not see 4.12s drivers for Win98/ME.
