x800 and 5.10 crashes?

anyone have their game crashing after updating their ATI drivers to cat
5.10? more speficily battlefield 2.

most of the time, right when i enter a server, the game freezes, my
computer locks up and i have to hard boot it.

other times i can play for maybe 2 mintues and the same thing happens as i
stated in the last sentence.

i psoted this in the BF2 forum a day or two ago and one person replied
stating that their x800xl crashes while playing bf2 from time to time.

I've not had a single crash with these drivers under BF2. Also using an
X800. Have you rolled back to 5.9 to confirm it's a driver issue ?

no i have not.
someone from the battfield NG suggested the same thing, so i guess i will do
that.

also, are the ATI 5.10 CP drivers actualy 5.10a or are just the CCC 5.10a.

i refuse to use the CCC due the resource hog .NET untill i absolutely must
use CCC when ATI no longer supports CP.

Ok i reverted back to the 5.9s and i had no problems at all playing BF2. I
would definately say its the 5.10(a?) noy sure if the CP version of the 5.10
are actuly 5.10a or not.
