Hello,
I'm almost positive to buy this laptop (PM1.73, 512 MB, 60 GB, GF Go
6600). but I still have one question to anyone who uses it. How loud are
the fans and how often do they kick in (during a normal
web-browsing-email-writting work). I do understand that under a pressure
(games) the fans will need to work, but I want to have "a silent" laptop
otherwise.

Given the power management inherent in the Pentium M, for the given
processor speed it will be as silent as possible for your computing
habits. The processor throttles to low speed unless and until the full
power is required. Since fan noise is very subjective, that is about
all that can be guaranteed.
