Hello all, i suspect my 6800gt of not running at full speed... o
something is holding it back
For an example, when i play fear, or any other FPS (most noticable i
fear though) when i turn into a new area my fps gets shot to shit fo
a few seconds. But after it loads the textures or whatever it does, i
runs smooth.
so im thinking a few things...
1. it could be my ram not loading the textures fast enough..
2. it could be my old IDE hard drive not loading the textures fas
enough..
3. my processor is not fast enough..
i need some more storage so im getting a new SATA harddrive with 16m
cache so hopefully that helps some.
and for some reason aquamark 3 and 3dmark 05 are HORRIBLY choppy
games run smooth for the most part but these benchmarks skip frame
like mad
my specs are as follows
AMD 3000+ barto
1.5gb ultra ra
BFG 6800gt oc
win xp sp
newest forceware 81.xx something or the other lol, the brand new one
just released
any help would be GREATLY appretiated |
