Lightscribe Comunication error. |

Anyone else suffering this problem ?
Got a Philips DVDR16LS. It used to print lightscribe OK but now comes up
with Communication Error. Philips and Nero have been unable to fix it so
far.
Using Nero 6 (latest ver), latest LH host. latest firmware (P1.9) and
updated XP (SP2).
Even replaced the drive for a new one and same trouble. Burns OK but won't
lightscribe.
Any ideas anyone?

I have a very similar problem i just bought the unit, and i haven't
been able to print my first label i've tried everything, updating nero,
updating the ls host, even changing the hardware from slave to master,
but i won't recognize the labels when i want to print them, i also use
XP SP2, oh and where did you get the updated firmware, i'll probably
get it back to the store to see if there anything wrong with the
hardware, but it looks like a software problem to me, somebody help
ussss!!!!! |

No solution - just exactly the same problem.
My drive was quite happily burning lightscribe discs for the first few months of its life then stopped in the last couple of days. All I've got is the 'Communications Error' message box.
S'pose it's a comfort to know I'm not the only one with this problem. I've tried all I could think of including re-installing Nero and all the upgrades from Nero, Philips and the latest lightscribe host - guess what, no effect whatsoever.
Anyone got any suggestions on this one? |
