6gb hard drive shows up as 2gb??? |
|
|
model # on the ibm laptop drive is "ibm-dara-206000" 6GB
DFT shows that model # but lists it as a 2.17 GB hard drive. I've tried
DFT, win98 cd
using fdisk(fat32) and winxp to delete the partitions and then format
but none have worked.
The drive seems to work fine but is stuck at 2gb...
any suggestions? |

If your Bios is not the limiting factor (which is very likely), download |
Feature Tool at http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm and
see if the capacity can be reset.
