Nero - can't create slide show |

Tried to create a slide show using NeroVision Express (newest upgrade of
Nero v 6.6).
Created a CD but with no bat or exe file - therefore no way to run it.
Several folders were created on the CD but none had any executable
extension.
It was my impression that I could create a disk with a slide show on it,
which could then be run from any computer (even one that does not have
Nero installed). Is this correct?

You've probably made a slideshow that will play on a DVD player in a TV
system, which is what I use it for. I haven't used it for a PC version yet
so can't help you there.

Perhaps WMP was not the best suggestion as it is a bit fussy what it will
play, according to the availability (or not) of the necessary codecs.
Probably the best format to create on CD would be MiniDVD as this should be
more widely acceptable than VCD/SVCD and should play in any PC with DVD
software (Nero Showtime as you have Nero Vision Express 3?) and in domestic
DVD players.

On a PC, you need a software DVD player, like Nero ShowTime, PowerDVD or
WinDVD.

Does this mean I have to purchase a mini DVD or can I "cheat" and use a
CDR or use a DVDR and simply tell Nero it's a mini DVD?
BTW, yes, I'm talking about Nero Vision Express 3.

Thanks a lot. The mini-DVD choice burning to a regular CDR, provided me |
with a disc that created a slide show and could be read on any PC using
whatever player that PC has. For example, on mine, it can be read by
Real Player, WMP, Nero and WinDVD etc. Between all those, almost
everyone has one of these programs just waiting to look at all my great
pictures :-)
The CD didn't work in my inexpensive DVD player attached to my TV
But I then burned a DVD +R and that played fine on both my computer and
on the DVD player I use with the TV.
So - it looks like that was the trick and the rest I can figure out as I
go. I really appreciate your suggestions.
