Hp 812 and charging |
|
|
Just replaced the batteries recently with a set of Radio Shack Nickel Metal
Hydride.
Worked fine... left the camera sitting. Batteries dead.
Put on dock, get a message that no camera is connected. (ongoing issue,
why I got some new batteries)
Prompts for new dates/times. Green light on camera is on, green light
on dock is on. no charging. (I try to turn on camera to no avail)
I hooked up dock to pc via USB to transfer photos. worked like a charm.
If I put a new set of batteries in, works like a charm, but damn those are
expensive!
As I said an ongoing issue and I'm stumped!
Thanks for any input |

NiMH's are expensive, but the are also rechargeable.

How Long did the camera sit? NIMH batteries loose about 1% of their power
each day that they sit.
Did you also purchase an appropriate charger for those nimh batteries?

You won't get full capacity before 4-5 charging cycles, and the
first charge is very low in my experience. |
