what are the total dollar sales volume for frys for the last 12 months and then
what are the total 12 month sales of the other. compare them.
Don't know, but with all due respect i'm not the one who tries to tell
people in England to buy a printer at Fry's electronics, a place that a
few stores in a handful of states. I've been corrected, the number of
"stores" [thanks arthur] is 240. So I would guess 20mil to 60mil would
be reasonable for the entire franchise where 20mil to 60mil would be
for a single Fry's store. That's the nature of selling products that
sell for $5.00 a pop and frys has been around since 1985 vs 1999. I'm
pulling numbers out of my ass so if you have the real sales figures by
all means share them.
But as you admited before, your only purpose in this group is to harass
people because someone treated you unfairly sometime last year.
Give it up zz...you're trying to communicate with a brain-dead, insane |

Are you trying to tell us that this business lasted 6 years from a
small start up to a decent sized franchise by selling products that
ruin printers? Island Inkjet may or may not have decent ink... dont'
know never been there. But you see all your complaints about 3rd party
ink are based on mom&pop webbies, and this lot like it or not is a
corporation just like Cartridge World in the UK. And in this market we
need all the competition we can get... this way the mfgs will look at
the market and improve their OEM ink and perhaps charge less for it, or
both. The consumer wins and everyone is happy. |

I'm not sure who you are addressing this to, but if it is me, let's just
say that living on Vancouver Island, and working with inkjet printers a
goodly amount, I have lived through their growing and groaning pains. ;-)

You see, one of the reasons you feels were hurt last year was the fact
that you felt that people were calling you an idiot because you
disagreed with what they had to say. But what you need to do is
understand this feeling and become empathic to others. For example I'm
not saying you are an idiot, i'm just saying that you are wrong when
you are wrong. I'll never say there isn't a downside to 3rd party ink,
only it's what I use because it costs less.
It's O.K. to feel that a group is slanted tward one solution, and it's
even O.K. to disagree with the choice of others. I'm totally for
someone who based on observation and experence picks a particular
product and shares it. But it is wrong to call someone an idiot when
clearly they are using their brains to make a choice.
This is why I'm asking about Island Inkjets. If they carry a decent
product that others have had postive experence with I might buy it or
reccomend it to others. It's important you respect this since you feel
such a strong urge to prevent people from getting a bad product. |
