availability of ASUS Extreme N7800GTX TOP/2DHTV |

Hi all,
Anyone knows where to get this one bellow in US?

I checked already newegg, epinions etc but did not
find this very same model. It may already be ordered
from Switzerland but you have to pay now and they
enqueue your order for who knows until when ...

Froogling the model number got a hit at zipzoomfly. They say it's
backordered but they'll take your money and send it to you when it arrives.
This translates to "it's not available yet unless perhaps you have
connections at ASUS".

Yep the same over here ... funnily Swiss shop sites already have a |
price tag while not even in US the price for this card is defined ... here
computer import shops get such a high margin that they do not even
care about the final price :)))
Hopefully by January 2006 the card will be available in US so I will
be able to buy it from the source ...

Of course, you could just get a normal 7800GTX and install a $30 Arctic
Cooling heat sink on it. All you are paying for is an overclocking
guarantee.
