Smart Media Problem - Help! |
|
|
Hi,
I have a 32MB smart media card. I can see the photos on my Olympus
320, however when I put the card into a reader the photos are not to be
found. No directory is shown. When I check "properties" it shows that
the memory on the card is being taken up by the images. I have long
since lost my cable from the Olympus to the PC, though am wondering if
this is the only way for me to salvage these photos.
Is there any way I can get these "hidden" image files to my PC? I
tried selecting all files, however this did not seem to capture the
images files.
Any help would be appreciated!

maybe defective reader?
try your friends reader.
if not possible, take them down to a place where they develop digital
photos. then insert your card into the machine that reads photos, see if
they show up there. at least you'll know if the problem is your reader, or
the card itself (even though pics show on your cam). if machine shows your
pics, well, you can salvage them by having them printed on paper, otherwise,
you can always ask the nice people there to just make you a copy on a floppy
disk or CDrom. maybe you'll pay a couple dollars, but you will have
salvaged your pics.
goodluck
