WindowsMe OS
Is there anyway to read the DVD+R or DVD-R multisession
data disk? Any patch available for this purpose?

Als it only reads the 1st session.
Anyway to read the last one?

DVD-ROM is normally and I believe exclusively
written DAO, hence only single-session. <=== Multi NO

Wow! No multisession on DVD !!!

Try isobuster, if you aren't messing with packet written stuff it used to be

a free download. I say used to be since it's been a couple of years since I
downloaded my copy and I don't know current status.

I add 4GB+ data to a layout and

the ONLY option I have for burning is Track At Once.
Any ideas why DAO isn't available? <=== No DAO

I don't know where you would run into multi-GB data
files to raise the issue.

I have dealt with none that big ... <=== No See DAO
so have no suggestion to offer.

But then to weasel out another supposed Easy CD&DVD Cremator bug:

I am trying to add data for backup purpose to DVD disc 4.7GB.

Any session added after session 1 is not viewable or
visible in explorer or shell.

My software is Easy Cd Creator 5 basic.

My experience with DVD-ROM is limited (and I've not used
ECDC for the job), but I have never seen an option to add
sessions to the format.

The ONLY supported DVD-ROM format
I have seen is DAO. <=== Only See DAO

XP

NEC DVD burner's model please?

So it is the burner that can read the
multisession DVD+R/DVD-R not
the operation system.

Comments by other users would be appreciated?

If I burn on my NEC DVD Burner I can read Multisession but my Pioneer DVD
Rom
can't read the sessions, but the NEC does.

It may be the drive rather than the OS. My older Hitachi GD-7500 DVD-ROM
drive can't read multi-session DVD-R discs from my Sony DRU-800A DVD burner,
and they are on the same XP machine. But it can read DVD-RAM discs, which
the Sony can't. But I don't have any DVD-RAM discs. : (

See my other post in this thread. My 5 year old Hitachi GD-7500 can't read
multi-session DVD-R discs made on my Sony burner. I even tried using
Isobuster to see if it could extract them. It can't. Isobuster gives the
disc a big red plus sign, and using the extract lost files and folders
option just brings up a load of junk.

I would think that older DVD-ROM drives, from around 5 years ago just can't
read multi-session discs DVD-R discs. Maybe I should see if flashing the
firmware to the latest version helps.
