but no harm in asking.I am desperately looking for a TEAC FD-235HS-715
3.5" SCSI floppy drive (FC-1 controller PCB)but cannot find a supplier.

I dont think normal suppliers stock a drive like this one. Trye TEAC.COM.
I found the FD235 drives mentioned once , on
http://www.teac.com/dsp_y2k.html, and they state that the drive is Y2K
compliant ! What a shocking announcement...

Sigh: they were used in some HP and DEC workstations
but I have not touched them for many years.
You might find a scrap machine for cheaper than the drive alone!

If you just need to read/write floppies via SCSI,
the 20 meg "floptical" drives handle regular floppy disks too.
