Nero Showtime won't play avi file |

Nero Showtime won't play avi file
When I try to play it, I get this message.
Cannot play this media file
ClassFactory cannot supply requested class (0x80040111)
What is wrong and how can I make it play?

AVI is an envelope for many types of video files. You may not have the
right codec for that file on your system; the message is not specific to
that problem, but it's a likely reason.
Determine the codec you need and try to install it.

Check the .avi with GSpot:
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
It will show you what codec you need. Then download the codec from the
many codec download sites. |

AVI is an envelope for many types of video files. You may not have the
right codec for that file on your system; the message is not specific to
that problem, but it's a likely reason.

I had problem using Nero Vision Express too.
After the downloaded that codec it would play in DivX player but when I use
Nero Vision Express to write to DVD. When I preview it using that remote
control thing, It shows up as a black screen but I can hear the sound.
What is wrong? How could I correct this?

Any program which will do the same for mpg files?
BTW After I downloaded the correct codecs for the avi file.
I try to use it in Nero Vision Express but it will display errors in small
screen and it will not burn into dvd video.
Do I have to copy correct codecs into Nero Vision Express folder
before it will work?
