I burned a CDRW as a audio disk in Nero some time back, and now I cannot
erase it. Can someone explain this for me? Thanks.

Try CDSpeed to erase. First do a quick erase than a full erase.
If that doesn't work, throw the disc away and get some better discs.

Another option worth trying is using the erase function in Alcohol 120%.
It has an option to ignore errors, so try that combined with a full
erase. But if its having problems using a standard erase, I suspect that
its on its way out anyway.

Good luck.
