When I burned my first dvd i got left with an
nri file that Nero wanted to put on my C drive.
It is not small.
Ordinary file handlers (Windows Explorer, Ztree etc)
show the DVD drive as empty.
Am I trapped inside Nero -
or can I create data files on a DVD that
are accessible to ordinary file handling?
Where should the nri files go?

NRI is a compilation file. It's an information file about your
compilation, the files you want to burn. That's not the file you burn.

Is there a clearer program to use?

Download these tutorials. They are for Nero 5 and 6.
start a multisession Data DVD
continue a multisession Data DVD
create a non multisession Data DVD
